Post up on NORLOG. You may get some help there for an inspection.

I got stuck stuck in a traffic jam on the M1 this summer, by the time we got home it looked like we'd taken a shower with our clothes on.

Great input everyone! Thank you. The LHD car I found was a scam! So back to the hunt! Thanks Friday. You can email me on nickjones100@me.com. So.....anyone know of any websites to search for LHD cars in Europe? Meanwhile, I'm finding a few nice things in the UK, but then the hassle of being in Spain ......import, registration, etc. won't be giving up though, can't wait to hit these fab roads! Getting the right car is probably the most important thing!

Drop an email to Marten from UK Sports cars:

http://www.uksportscars.nl/

He gets a lot of Rover K series Elises that should be within your budget. Based in Holland.

Just to confirm they can get EXTREMELY hot with the roof down in sunshine. Even with our fairly balanced UK climate, during Summer they can quickly heat up to blistering temperatures. Air con helps, as does keeping both windows down.

Think of sitting in large aluminium baking tray, with little heat absorbing materials around you!
We had to pull over and find shelter while driving through the centre of Spain a couple of years ago, Elise and a VX220. But to be honest I've never had a problem in this country in the 7 years that I've owned it.
What about the poor bd on the Fireblade in full leathers and A helmet following u. IE it's never going to be as hot as that

I second that. The hottest I've ever been is stuck in traffic, in leathers and helmet, in the centre of Madrid at 13.00, with pillion passenger. (Honda CBR 1100XX) Rode to Portugal with the girlfriend. It was 41°C that day. Absolute nightmare, won't forget that in a hurry. Fantastic journey once it cooled down.

This year, in my Exige, I had 36° and it was OK until we hit a traffic jam. Thats when the A-C was most welcome. Used it for about 45 minutes, the time it took to get out of the traffic. Other than that the AC for me is most useful when its pouring down with rain or during the winter. Thats just for demisting.

Wrong trip, you didn't come on that one. Thinking about it, it was in France not Spain.
