S2 Elise won't start

Afternoon all,

Posting on behalf of a friend with an S2 Elise that won't start (turning key in ignition and nothing happens).

All fuses check out OK. Removed fly lead with spade connection from solenoid, took a 12v feed direct from battery and connected it to this spade terminal, starter motor fires up and comes to life. I;m assuming that this proves solenoid/starter motor are OK, and that the problem is with the missing 12v feed on this control wire. If the ignition key is turned, 12v is not present at this fly lead.

Does anyone have an ignition circuit diagram so we can trace back the missing 12v feed? Is there an ignition relay somewhere?

What year? What does the blinking immoibilser led show?

Hi, had exactly the same problem last year. AA man ran wire direct from the battery live to allow me to touch onto solenoid/starter motor contact to manually start. Ollie at Phoenix fettled it by cleaning all contacts.
