I'm looking for an Elise S1, and the dealer called "Hi Torq" comes up in a few searches.

A few alarm bells ringing, though - the pricing doesn't always seema aligned with the market, and their website is non-existent.

Does anybody on here have any experience of them that they can share with me? Either in public or via e-mail is fine...

Have a look on SELOC, they don't have a great rep and often have the same car for sale for months.

ok - thanks - I'll have a look on SELOC, but sounds like it confirms my worries.

I had a passing interest at the s160 they have in. As mentioned, a quick search on SELOC and I was put off.

Bought a car off them which upon more digging, turned out not to have the service history claimed and several other things didn't add up.

Credit where credit is due, they gave me a full refund straight away and were pretty reasonable about it all, so I do think it was a genuine mistake rather than any attempt to deceive.
