So the Sunday Breakfast resulted in 5mins of discussing the route and 2hrs of catching up with each other. The outcome of which, is that we are all a lot older than we were, Fathers to kids we love loads and constantly drive us nuts.

So the only other suggested route was to go via Dorchester, then up to Crewekerne, Chard, Honiton, then A35 to Exeter, then sticking to the originally proposed route again. Having looked at this option, it means we end up on primary A roads for a lot more of the route. Two downsides as I see it (1) More Caravan traffic, (2) Not exactly the sort of roads the cars were intended for.
So unless anyone comes up with a very strong reason to go with this option, the plan is to stick with the originally planned route

http://goo.gl/maps/x653q.

One thing everyone did agree on, was that we need to leave earlier. So the plan is to meet at 07:00 and leave by 07:30

Will update the original post on this, so that all entries tally.
Any questions, give me a shout.

Well worth going to breakfast, route or no route. I think Gooby was right, we should do it more often.

Could we agree some meeting points along the way, I don't know if we will be travelling at normal BoLOCs run speed, if we are I may end up lagging behind as Mrs FW will be along for the ride. I have also become slightly more sensible in my old age biggrin

A few regroup points would be handy

I rarely drive at warp speed, I leave that to Gooby. I am sure a few other will be trying to keep up with him, Grinnders springs to mind.

Not really sure of any obvious regrouping points along the route, but if anyone does know of any, put them up, on here and we can pick the best.

Oi. I heard that! Lol

Just ordered a new set of summer boots now the winters are off but I am sure I am much slower now I'm on my 2nd Exige!

I'll have the dashcam on for video!

Let me look at the route and then I may be able to drop some markers for rendez-vous's

Any thoughts on stop points along the way? How about the following:

Wool Train Station - Station Rd‎, Wool, Wareham, Dorset BH20 6DT (about 22 miles from the start)

Long Stay Car Park - Lyme Regis Charmouth Rd, Lyme Regis, Dorset DT7 3DW (about 60 miles from the start)

St. Bridget Garden Centre - Clyst St Mary, Exeter, Devon EX5 1AE (about 83 miles from the start)

As no one else has come up with alternatives and these seem logical, lets go with them

On a slightly related note, make sure you have a copy of the route and mark the stop points.
