Hi - front clam off and doing a suspension refurb etc. One of the wheelarch liners could do with a patch but I haven't got any spare material - thinking of doing a heat or acetone weld but I'm not sure what type of plastic they are made of - anyone know?

Cheers Jim

I'm afraid I don't know the answer but I would be interested to hear how you get on as I have the same problem on my Exige S2.

I repaired both of mine using a simple fibreglass kit. They had holes the size of a grapefruit and are still fine and a year on.

Just be sure to clean the area well with petrol/thinner and to lay the matt over as large an area as reasonable with lots of criss-crossing.

I bonded some thin alu plate o the back.
No issues with that solution.

I'd be very surprised if the wheel arch liner wasn't ABS, on my S1 at least.

Although as long as it's a thermo plastic you can heat weld it without really having to know what it is - try melting a little bit with an old soldering iron (not anywhere visible just in case).

Does it have a recycling material stamp on it anywhere?
