Canyon Red

Can anyone tell me if any other main stream manufacturer used the same shade of Canyon Red ? The Lotus paint code is B117 and the DuPont code is X2909. I tried google and it brought up quite a few different car manufacturers that have used Canyon Reds and they all seem to differ in shade. I am looking for a spray can so I can do my mirror backs.

Halfords/larger auto paint suppliers will make you an aerosol if you take the paint code in, not sure you'll have much luck with an off the shelf tin, but being mirror backs it's not edge to edge so may be ok.

I called my local Halfords this morning and gave them both the Lotus B117 and the DuPont X2909 codes, the girl apparently looked on the computer and said no they cannot do it ??? so it's back to square one again.....I might try a larger store just in case.

That seems strange, I'd go into the shop and speak to someone, failing that you'll definitely get somewhere to make a can up for you, I'll ask my local paint guy, I'm sure he could put one in the post if you're struggling.

Finally got round to calling one of the Aberdeen stores and they said that Canyon Red is not listed on their system! There are apparently other Lotus Reds but not this one

I have found a company called express paints in Portsmouth who can supply the paint in spray cans.

I got them to mix up Ruby Red in rattle cans which is a Lotus colour. And was spot on . You will also need the clear lacquer.
