360 Cup or 350 Sport

I've owned an Evora, Europa and briefly one of the first V6 Exiges, so I know what I'm getting into.

For b road blasts and probably very occasional track days (maybe via trailer if they are far away), which is better?

It's quite hard to work out the actual differences, but it looks like the Cup has a bit more adjustment and will be more durable on a track, whereas the 350 is at least as light, maybe more comfortable (relatively...) on road, and has a better gearshift which looks the part as well.

Is there any more to it than that? Are gear ratios the same on both?

And finally.., is there any concrete news on a 400 Exige in the next 12 months or so? That would make it more likely to go for the cheaper 350 right now and wait for the upgrade,

I'm edging towards the Cup at the moment, just because... it's a Cup.

Gear ratios are the same on both. Personally I'd take the Sport 350 for the new bits personally, particularly if primarily for road use.

Thanks.
Even if the road use will mainly be planned blasts on suitable, relatively quiet roads? Most likely won't be travelling far in it, very often.
Is the Cup suspension more suited to smooth race tracks than bumpy B-roads?

On the factory setting for compression and rebound, the Cup dampers can get a bit 'busy' on bumpy b-roads compared to V6 race pack suspension I had previously. However it's never jarring, and obviously you have the scope to dial things back should you so desire. For the most part I find them very well judged and control the car brilliantly

Saw them side by side today. Hard to justify the Cup when 350 is lighter, newer, better gearshift, lighter wheels, has lapped Hethel quicker, and is a good few £k cheaper....

I also found the Cup a bit busy to look at. A lot going on , on such a small car.

There will be an extensively revised Exige in the next 12 months, of that you can be sure - the new Elise 250 Cup is already encroaching on Exige V6 performance. Cut down, easier to access sills and 400 plus bhp have been mooted for a while. The Evora 400 Targa will be along first though..

Sounds like you prefer the S350 anyway but if you ordered a new 360 Cup now it would have the revised gear linkage, sub frame and all the other good stuff from the 311. There will only be 50 360 Cups too, so very limited production.

The lightest version of an S350 is over £60k, so only £3k more to get to a basic Cup car. You will want the carbon seats though and they are now extra. Forget the stereo in either, it's not very good an all you need is earphones for your smartphone.

Thanks for all the input, but in the end there's quite a difference in the post-discount prices, and the 350 is all I need, (with the new gearshift). Not buying a Cup now also makes it easier to justify upgrading to a 400 Cup if that ever comes out!

Exactly the choice I'm looking at right now.

350 Sport or V6 Cup. But in my case track suitability trumps touring niceties so leaning towards the Cup.


It's as light as the 350 Sport, has race seats and harnesses, baffled sump and uprated brakes , Nitron dampers and track pack.Personally love the detachable wheel too.

Noisier and less suited to daily use certainly but choosing any Exige with those priorities seems to miss the point to me.
