Hi guys

I'm pretty keen on a Z4M for my next car following a couple of years in a 2.2 VX220. I'm after something a bit more rev happy next with a decent turn of pace and noise.

Naturally as seems to always happen I've had my head turned by a totally different prospect.. various Honda converted Elise videos and build threads online.

Has anyone experience of both of these that can comment on their pros and cons? Use ability of the Elise isn't an issue as I've been fine with the VX, but I'm a bit concerned about resale in a couple of years compared to the relatively safe Z4M.

Might just wait and see what comes up when I've sold my own car - seems good examples of either are fairly rare.

Cheers

Owners tend to keep good examples of Honda's Elises/Exiges.

Yea tracking down one and making sure it's not a dog could be my downfall to be honest.

No comparison really, the only thing going for the Z4M is the engine and comfort to a degree.
The ride quality and handling of the lotus will blow the BMW out of the water.

I've just sold my Z4M and don't miss it after one eye opening bill regarding the engine.

I may look to get into an Exige/Elise in the coming months, I've had my Z4M for coming up 3 years and just fancy a change, the Z4M is a great car, very strong performance indeed, bullet proof engine generally I have found it rare that owners of S54 engined cars are hit with big bills out of routine maintenance, I feel the previous poster was unlucky but things like that happen. As for the ride on standard suspension it does bang and crash, my car now runs on Bilstein B6 shocks with standard springs and it completely transforms the car, budget for suspension change if you buy one,,a very rare car that is a solid investment with values climbing a little of late, you wouldn't regret having one.
