They were from Motorsport (dealer fit, I still have the originals boxed).

They were from the Exige Cup260.

I thought there may be similar in the Elise Cup but not sure. I found these in the Motorsport brochure, p10.
https://issuu.com/lotuscars/docs/racing_brochure?v...

V6 should be the same size and they list the fixed seat kit...
Seems relatively cheap considering the Cup260 seats were listed at something like 2,600 each.

Quick post back on this. Had first tame track day in the car, went very well and very happy with it. The PED device works brilliantly on my Arai GP6S. Huge difference and no problem at 130 mph. Worth the (frankly ridiculous) 80 quid for a bit of plastic moulding!!

The car looked great at Brands GP. I would have come and said hello but was busy dealing with HGF....hopefully see you out at another LOT day.

Cheers! I went past you just after it happened and commented to my passenger it smelt like a HGF! Lovely car btw, fantastic colour. If it's any consolation I blew my other track car up a few weeks before at my last track day. 16 bent valves.. groan.

I found that extending the steering wheel about 3" closer to me gave my legs and knees all the space in the world to use the pedals without trapping my hands against my thighs when steering. It also means I can have the seat quite far back to straighten my legs and still have the steering wheel exactly where it needs to be for reach. I'm 6'1"

I had to swap the original wheel for the 2-11 GT4 type Momo tuner wheel.

yes I've had to do this on my 2-Eleven and the Elise before it. It's a common Lotus problem. I've noticed that even their test and development drivers drive every day with straight arms and bent legs. Once you've swapped to the six holed Momo type wheel, a range of spacers are available from motorsport suppliers.

I had a sit in an Exige 380 last week and had the same issue. The Exige has a lovely alcantara trimmed air bagged wheel which would be a shame to ditch. Hopefully there would be a solution to bring the standard wheel closer using spacers. I'd love a 380 in a couple of years.

Amazing cars! smilesmile I can confirm that if you can get the wheel closer then it's worth it. Being comfortable makes such a difference to one's enjoyment of driving. Stretching the arms and shoulders forwards into the 'Lotus position' can give quite nasty shoulder pain as well that may not be immediately apparent from a few initial drives.

Funnily enough, I have just done the same to my 2-11. It's made a massive difference.

I fitted a 60mm spacer to the factory QR on my 2-11 and combined it with a 300mm Sparco. Made a huge difference.

Just for the record if anyone's not done this yet and wants to, doing this mod inevitably means you can move the seat back and relax your legs a bit, but remember that the limiting factor will now be reaching first gear (unless you make up an extension to thread on the top of course!).
