Try reducing your front camber a bit. With the extra front tyre width you probably don't need to be running quite as much and it'll help with the tram-lining.
Ah but it's transformed the turn in so it's like a Caterham now which I like. Everything a compromise I guess.

Yokohama put the AD08R into EVO's annual tyre test a while back - ballsy move, given that the others were UHP road tyres and the AD08R is somewhere between that and a trackday tyre. If I remember rightly, it topped all of the dry tests and tailed all the wet ones, so there is definitely some compromise there, but it wasn't *that* bad in the wet. I wouldn't say that I feel at all uncomfortable driving my Elise on them in the wet.

Got the AD08Rs on my car now. In the wet I've noticed no difference with a normal road tyre. In the dry it has more grip. Only downside is that at 205 width it tramlines more than 195 tyres, and also shifts the balance more towards oversteer (which can be good or bad depending on your point of view). Overall I'm happy, but if it was a road only car I think the benefits wouldn't outweigh the tramlining.
I've just got a puncture on an old AD048 on my nearly equally old Exige (54 plate - bless it). I've always used the 048s, but I'm thinking I should switch to AD08Rs now. Sorry for my stupidity, but the size would be what? 205/50/16 on the front or 205/45/16 (I've seen people say both) and 225/50/17?

Thanks in advance!

205/45/16, 225/45/17 (rears the same as all tyres on Elise)
