I'm toying with replacing my TVR Griffith with an Evora +2, I have two small children (4 & 6) and the rear seats are very tempting. However, I don't want to commit to selling the TVR without a look at an Evora +2 first. Really want to see how much rear room there is and judge how long I'm likely to be able to fit the kids in the back for. I'm 170cm (5" 7') so the front seat isn't exactly going to be at its rearward limit.

Anyone local to Horsham got a +2 that I could take a look at? ....won't be bringing the kids to test it BTW!

An Evora 400 or an older model? The 400 has more room in the back due to thinner front seats and better arranged back seats.

Mine are 2 and 5, and with the right car seats you can get them in the back, but it's tight and you wouldn't want to do it for a long journey. Both kids love it though, and at the end of the day, being next to that V6 is quite a good way to get them to sleep!

Give Jamie at Bell & Colvill a call and book in a time to go and drive one and have a look at the space on offer etc. I warn you though, if you drive one, you will love it, and Jamie is a very good salesman, though thankfully not in a pushy way.

Go and see Jamie at Bell and Colvill. Take the kids and try them out. He has S1s and 400s currently.

Just don't drive one or it will quickly become an expensive trip.

Looks like you'd better see Jamie then.

Defo an older model, I'd love a 400 but budget is likely to be around £30-35k. Sounds like a trip to Guildford is in order.

Have just bought one. Kids 2 and 5. I'm 5,10 myself. We all fit in snuggly. Pram fits in the boot too. I've removed the seats and carpeted it. Given a little more room. Once the two year old is in a seat belt booster seat rather than her harness seat it should free up some more room. It's not ideal, but it is useable with two kids if the need arises. The worst problem I've had is they sit quiet close together, so if they're fighting it esculates...

I have 5yr old twins who love the Evora.

I had a 2010 NA for 14 months... And now have a 400

...this seems to be a common theme, my budget is really more NA than S but I just know if I buy an NA. I'll be wishing I had a S within weeks. Suppose I could sell the kids but then I may as well keep the Griff.

Did do the Lotus thing for a couple of years, bought an Elan M100 Turbo for the boss and, of all the cars I've owned, it exceeded my expectations more than any other, really was a cracking drive. Sure I won't be disappointed....well maybe by the engine note...just a tad.

Don't rule out an N/A, they are pretty much as quick as the S, you just have to work the gears a bit more. There are however some valuable benefits, such as significantly lower fuel consumption and tyre wear, plus the road tax is halved.

If you are in the market the one in my profile will be with a dealer next week when it goes in against my 400 and will be in your budget.

You'd be amazed what they sound like with a liberal exhaust pipe. Stuno1 on here has a larini exhaust on his sports racer and it sounds the business.

Definitely get an S. With haggling they're not much more than an NA, well worth the premium.
