Elise sill protection film ?

I have noticed that there is a clear film applied to the sills of my S2. Is this a standard covering or something that has been added later ?

Just ahead of the rear wheels is standard, if it is the full sill then it will have been added afterwards

I think it is just in front of the wheels so must be standard thanks.
