My Lucas 3M 100 starter motor is getting sluggish; still starts the beast but I get the feeling each time that this will be the last.

So today I have ordered an LMS042 reduction gear starter.

Have I wasted my cash? Would I have done better to invest my £233 in loose women and alcohol, although I get the feeling
it wouldn't have gone far anyway.

Time will tell.

Well worth the money. The starter, not the loose alcohol and high proff women.
The stock starter isn't all that wonderful, so a geared one is a good bet.

Phew ! That's good to know.

Just got to hope it fits now.
I have a chassis brace down the side of the engine and an air box with trumpets inside just above.
