Child seat in a S2 with Probax seats

After a recent thread on child seats and bucket seats I have been wondering if I am doing right in taking my son of 4 (now 5 but not been out for a while) out in my car.

I use a full car seat not a booster seat but it sits on the seat rather than in it. I was wondering what other people use when they take there kids out.

It's an interesting question; I'm not aware of any group 2-3 seats (as opposed to high-back boosters) which fit. I've got a year or so to go before I have to worry about it but I'll probably go for a conventional high-back booster.

I just put a towel on the seat to stop it getting damaged by the plastic bottom. Something that fits snug into the seat would be nice but I don't think it is unsafe as its the seat belt that holds it in.

I have a Recaro Young Sport, it fits my S1 111s good, snug but good. I also have a Recaro seat protector that goes under the seat, this may provide that extra height between the seat and child seat.

I assumed the OP was after a seat with a full harness for group 2-3 use; if he's happy with a setup that just uses the car's seatbelt (usually called a high-back booster) ther's plenty of options. The SELOC tech wiki has a list of a few which will fit.
