The gearchange in recent Lotuses has always been a weak point. My 2-Eleven had an aftermarket uprated linkage, but to be honest it was still pretty poor - not a patch on Honda or Porsche for example.

Jim's exhausts are great. Lead times can be long and unpredictable, and communications sketchy, but I'd still buy another one from him. There's a lot to be said for being able to speak to the guy who's going to make it and discuss your requirements.

My roadster with 35k miles on now has a really light and slick gearchange...it`s improved with mileage, although it was never bad. Its a bit reluctant when cold that`s all and it helps if you rev match to make it seamless, but that is all part of the drama and fun.

That induction kit looks interesting...

Another vote for Jim Valentine/2bular. Worth every penny.

I have the road switchable system on my 350 sport, with the valve closed its very sociable and neighbourhood friendly, however, with the valve open it pops, bangs, snarls and growls biggrin well worth the money.

Interested to hear more about the SSC induction kit.
Does it improve sound sufficiently for the effort of importing from halfway around the world?

I'd say so, but more the exchange rate now than the distance it has to come!
Coupled with a better sounding exhaust, it was laugh out loud time laugh

Lotus do one, very similar bar the ali pipe being carbon, but it costs around £900 ( and of course, if they've actually got one to sell you..)
