Is there anything suitable/special enough from Goodyear? There've been lots of threads but GY rarely mentioned.

On other cars, I've preferred the wet grip & dry progression of GY's.

Comments please?

How much should I have to pay for a set of YOKOs and where is the best place to get them in the Manchester area?

You'd be doing well to get them for less than £450. As far as where to get them, your nearest Lotus dealer or specialist or www.buyatyre.com can help.

YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Many thanks to Dr Bob for pointing me in the direction of JCT600 for Yoko Advans. I live in the south, but was visiting friends in Manchester over new year, so shot over to Leeds and got a full set of lovely spanking yoko advan neova lts's for £357!!!!!!!!!!
Can you believe that? I don't understand how that can be???????????? Is it a mistake? Should we keep this under our hats in case they realise?
Anyway, well chuffed. As promised, car feels simply superb - completely transformed in terms of handling and performance. Look f**cking cool too.
I'm so happy I could spit.

Thanks again
Jon

I've gone from standard P zeros, to 225 P Zeros at the rear. P zeros fronts lock up very easily in the wet and understear badly.

Got Neova all round now. No comparison. Much better wet weather grip. Seems a softer ride as well. As someone said earlier the P Zeros were designed for normal heavy cars, where Lotus had the Advans made especially for the S1.

I have recently put a set of good year F1 GD3s (not certain about the GD3 bit) on my standard S1. After reading everything that I could find I chose these mainly for the dry progression reason that you have mentioned. I think that I paid about £350 for a fitted complete set.

Cannot say that I have pushed them to their limit but certainly much better than the P0s in the wet. The tread pattern on these tyres is also quite impressive (Not that this is a good reason to buy a tyre).
