Hi all - Cheers for your thoughts - I spec'd my "blank" order from Sat today (Didn't want to fall down the waiting list) - I've gone for the graphite - It's the sharpest coolest colour + I don't think the bits that should be black will show up too badly in this colour. - Little concerned about how visible I will be to other road users from a safety perspective however, on the flip side less visibility to the Old Bill and vandals when parked can only be a good thing.

PS I do think white looks good - Racecar without the stickers etc ..... I just know I'd regret it after a while. - Or maybe I just didn't have the balls to go for it!!!!

ETA mid April - The countdown begins Chris!

Drove a 240R at my local dealer last week and am tempted to p/x my current standard S2 against the 220S - but wonder if anyone who has already been down the Noble route has any thoughts on 220S versus used GTO-3 at the same price?

My experience with a new Noble M12 GTO3 persuaded me back to Lotus - great drive but endless problems with car and servicing - also much higher costs. Might be OK if you have a local agent who is really highly rated. Otherwise stick to Lotus.

The S2 exige i had was really impressive, can only imagine what the extra torque does to the s. Now if they could only make an elise s with the supercharger in then i would beg, borrow and steal to buy one. Bet you can't wait!

one will be a brand new car thats cheap (ish) to run for its performance...the other will be a couple of years old, out of warranty (1 year) and cost 2-3x more to run (if you use it as intended)

Personally I love Nobles and TVRs etc, but wouldnt have one as a daily drive for 20K miles a year....a Lotus I would (and do!) ...the TVR/Noble would have to be the 2nd car for 6-10K miles a year...otherwise things would get very expensive

On the prices front if a new exige is £29.5k + options and an exige s is £34k + options its 4.5k diffrence simple as that surely you would pick the same options on the s as the exige so the price diffrence remains £4.5k thats 15% more for the S not bad money but the standard exige is still good value so I personaly dont think it will hit residuals as you either have the money to spend or you dont and either of the two cars are extreemly capable. I'll stick with my exige for now and try an s or whatever there is to replace it when its due for a change

Congratulation Chris, Joe.

Mine also comes in april, i am gonna try to find out what the various options are to get the black bits back to black..... i will also try to convince Lotus to let me have the standard parts. Its an important point for me, i do not even want to see it with body colour bits....

"PS I do think white looks good - Racecar without the stickers etc ..... I just know I'd regret it after a while. - Or maybe I just didn't have the balls to go for it!!!!"

I was unsure. When i ordered the car i planned a factory visit to see the colour with the intention to change it if i did not like it. So it was not such a big decision. Now i do not want to bottle out! I quite like the fact that i am a bit nervous and that i did not go the safe route(for me) and get my old colour Titanium.

Any news on the supercharger installation itself? Is it the 240 installation with a different map? Thats what Lotus said in the press release. Chris you said it looks the same? Did your dealer give you any more info yet? My dealer is on holiday until march 5th so its a bit tricky to get info....

The reason i ask is coz if it is the same system/installation, then a Cup dealer could in theory reflash the ecu and we would have 247 lovely lotus ponnies choping at the bit
