Lotus Elise questions part 2
Discussion
Sorry, which is the M100. Is that the Isuzu-engined, FWD Elan made during the GM days and briefly resurrected by Signore Artioli? I can't always keep their model numbers straight. I sat in one of those once but wasn't impressed.
Yes it is, there is a big difference between sitting in one and driving in one. Sitting in one you get an impression but not how comfortable it is after 3hours+ driving and getting the bumps etc. from the road. Its horses for courses but everyone I know that has been on a journey in m100 said how comfortable it was. You also find that you "bed-in" to the seat over time.
liquid,
if you want serious power for your elise go visit www.falko-motor.ch/travaux_en_cours.htm 500 BHP will do the job I think. An other solution would be the german elise with the audi V6 turbo engine. As far as I know is Sweden not the place for speeding on public roads... If you do like to take that risk there is another problem. If the condition of the road is not perfect, let's say 250 km/h autobahn condition, you must be very brave to run at 190-200 km/h for more than 5 minutes. As someone said in this thread : have a good testdrive in a standard car. Fun in an elise is not on straight roads and but on small ones where it is allmoust without competition !
