When turning left on full lock it feels as though the car is going over a small bump once every revolution or so - feels like the front left wheel.

For the last few months the car has rattled a bit more than usual going left but I was just going to get it looked at a my next service.

Ideas? its a Mk1 Elise

Wierd.... I've got a S2 and on starting up when cold mine does the same thing, fells as if the tyre might be flat but isn't.... :confused

Hi Ant, haven't come across this one before (cue hoards of replies from the rest of you with this problem! ) but I would take a close look at the wheel bearing as a starting point. Is the problem repeatable on different road surfaces? If not it might be the wheel skipping sideways at the extremes of lock on grippy road surfaces where Mr. Akermanns theory starts to fall apart.....
