S2 111s ECU reset

Does anyone know if resetting the ECU on the S2 111s makes a difference when you add aftermarket mods like exhaust, cat replacement pipe etc.? I used to do this on my Evo VI and it made the world of difference. Used to cut the power for a couple of mins and then restart and let the engine run idle for a while.

Dunno about the S2 111S but on the std S2 then yes it is recommended so I presume so.
