Hi, I have not had mt Elise for long so it may be something I am doing wrong but I am just wondering about my Cobra alarm. I believe its the standard Elise S1 Cobra alarm with the two round button key fob and it was newly fitted a few weeks ago when I got the car by Motormania in Acton.

I was of the understanding that I press the larger of the two round grey buttons to activate and de-activate the alarm. When I set it I get two flashes from the indicators and when I de-activate it I get one flash. However, if I open the car doors without de-activating the alarm, I get a rather quiet alarm sound.

Now, if I press the smaller of the two round grey buttons, I get a very loud siren alarm. Whatever I do, if I am in the car or out of the car, alarm activated or de-activated, if I press this smaller round grey button then this siren goes off and its very loud. I thought this smaller one was to press if you are just sitting in the car and want to not set the alarm off.

So, I am doing something wrong? Is this alarm set wrong or not working correctly? Any help greatly appreciated

Did you open the door within a minute of setting the alarm?

Did you ever work out what the problem was with your alarm, mine is doing exactly the same thing?
