Any predictions on the cost of repairs, and whether there is any chassis damange?

Yes its a bad Idea - you can buy an S2 now for £17K + ...and theres more than £3K worth of damage there. A new front clam is gonna be £1200 + spray and fit, then youve got the lights, crash structure etc etc.. I reckon you would be hard pushed to make it new again for less than the price of buying one + it will be on the accident register etc which will affect resale.

Dont bother - for it to make sense that wreck would have to be £10K ish ...all IMHO of course

Thats is unless of course you have youre own bodyshop ! ..and are doing all the work yourself, then you could save a couple of grand
