The PTP165 kit was notorious for poor idling. I think its now been replaced by a 170 kit with better engine management.
If you're looking to tune a K then have a look at Dave Andrews website (http://www.dvapower.co.uk/) and Kiwirog's (http://www.sabre-heads.co.uk/).
I'm sending a head to Rog this week for porting and on standard cams and decent 4-2-1 hope to have about 150bhp plus good torque. I'll later add some cams and engine management and with any joy will be looking towards 170bhp on a plenum. Cost? Including Rolling Road time for mapping the management, it should be under £2k.

Stick to the K smile - brilliant, lightweight engine....tune it at your leisure and within your price range..

Ah, I see where your comming from....

Don't do customer guinea pigs for this kind of thing, all the prototyping is done on non-customer cars, not released untill it's proven and I feel confident enough to warrentee it.
