I walked away, but thats my opinion on a particular car they were selling and the guys attitude at that time (which to some may be ok, but it was not to me). If it were me and I was buying from them today (which I may be tempted to do if the right car appeared), I would get TrackTorque who are just down the road from them at Tockwith to look over the car before I bought it. Although Im not sure how this would go down with Pure Lotus or if they would be happy at another company reporting on their car for sale....

I was going to buy a S1 Elise from them at around this time last year. The guy was friendly enough and answered all my questions, etc; but he just seemed a bit disinterested.

The car also had little things on it that wouldn't have taken much to sort out but it made the whole thing look a bit tatty, tie raps on the roll bar hoop clamp thingy, gear knob gear sticker missing, dirty carpets and paint work. Never offered a test drive either.

I left it in the end and bought from a private seller and haven't been near since as Track Torque are closer, are a great set of guys and cheaper so there is no point.

I'd go back and have a look around as it's so close to me and he seems like a nice enough bloke but I'd not buy a car from him and i service it myself so I've no need to go.

Thanks chaps.

Contemplating an s1 Liz but need to flog the wifes Discovery first. Jay not forthcoming with a px valuation... Would probably be happy to buy privately if I can get a reasonable price for the Bland Rover.

I went there to look at a car last year; I’d been looking over it for maybe 30 minutes and chatting about the car to the chap. I noticed some silver paint flaking around the boot aperture revealing yellow underneath [meaning a second hand rear clam from a previously yellow car]. I asked the chap about it and he revealed the car had been rear-ended and was a Cat D.

I was very disappointed that he didn’t reveal this information earlier in the discussions. It took for me to discover a problem and query it before he revealed the cars history so that I decided not to buy anything from there in principle.

I would not buy a car from them just because they spam 100's of adds of the same car every day in the for sale section.

I dont know why they do that, very annoying.... They sell a car, but insist on re-advertising it for weeks after! They must enjoy loads of phone calls where they can just say "its sold".

From the dealings Ive had with them, I would not buy a car from them. OK for supplying some parts (not the chavy induction kits they do though haha)etc But I would not trust them enough to buy a car there.
