The Phoenix Park Races are on in Dublin on the weekend of the 11th & 12th of August.

http://www.phoenixparkmotorraces.org/

I'm heading to Dublin for it this year as I've wanted to go for a couple of years now and have never had the chance. It promises to be a good weekend, and hopefully the weather will have sorted itself out by then.

Is anyone on PH going or racing?

ETA, if anyone is interested, it's free entry.

Hag,

Do you need somewhere to stay?

My gaff is just around the corner if you need a bed for the night.

Save you the grief of driving up and back again.

A great event. It used to be my annual pilgrimage back in the 1970s.

Ended up cowering under a tree for most of it! Good event but it was muddy as hell! Sun came out for the Veyron which was boring to be honest. No noise even under full throttle. Fast yes, but completly underwhelming. And it was kept in an invite only enclosure so no one could get up to it. Got a few pics though after it's run when it was being loaded back up onto it's low-loader.

I imagine for most of it you were still more comfortable than being swamped in mud and listening to dodgy commentary in the park!! laugh
