Can't belive this, TVRs were only Euro 2 compliant, with the introduction of Euro 3 (1.1.2000) there are two lambdas needed per Cat (one before and one after it)

Got a full Racing Green Omex 710 conversion here , done around 100 miles inc dyno time , comes with everything inc airbox with cold start idle valve , new injectors , loom conversion box for oil pressure ect ect paid around £2300 when new. PM me for the price.

The car was fully mapped inc cold start so really plug in and play but id get it checked on the dyno once done as no 2 engines are the same.

Just bumping this one to see if anyone is running with the new MBE ECU yet? Have a few questions I would like to ask if possible. Nothing dramatic.

Cheers!

It might control the second part but it I'm pretty certain it won't do the Euro compliance.

TVR were quoted several million by Ricardo for getting the engine through to Euro 5 so I'm pretty sure it can't have just been a case of sticking a new ECU on.

This needs a revival. Pretty sure Im going for this in December (service time) hopefully the 4.7ss is ready for then too. Probably get the wheel slip sensors done too in anticipation of the rebuild.

Any insight to how the knock MBE works?

With a knock sensor detecting detonation in each cylinder.

Don't want this one to die as it's a very good mod I think.

Was planning it as part of my S spec updat to cerbera but as things transpired I decided to have it as part a 4.5SuperSports rebuild instead.

Now onto the MBE the info Jason has been giving me and it's customisation options really do add to the car as a whole, you'll always be feeling like the car is giving its best in terms of its efficiency to heat/throttle etc

I've also gone for the launch and traction options with Drive by wire and flatshift to be added when the hardware is ready for release (I have the latest edition of the s6 box for future proofness)

As an update I'll be recommending certainly to my dad when he sees me leave his standard 4.0 behind but I can see the benefits in adding just the MBE to a good standard engine with say just upgrades to injectors and starter motor while your there. The limits only really become your imagination.

Speaking with Dom this week about what new things he can now offer on the ECU.

Getting the TC and lc done, but when we last chatted about DbW wasn't available

Not yet Al he's just adding the ignition coils (you may have seen his FB post)

He said it's not being released until full testing and other hardware is ready. Patience mate wink I wouldn't mind abs too but apparently Bosch are having none of it frown

That's gonna be fun... we should do some test days at Santa pod (I've got a rough idea of how I want my 7 stages configured) each launch map can have its own timeout specced. The only thing is Alex once you have that it's gonna mean you have to drive it. wink

Regarding DBW, the ECU supports it so is there any reason it cannot be plumbed into an off the shelf aftermarket actuator such as the one that Jevney sell?

Matthew your probably right... I think personally that its not out there yet as 'Dom' hasn't done it. He's just so busy at the moment he hasn't been able to factor in the hardware (which is available) and run thorough testing as there is a lot of calibration involved... Not to mention the 'if' something went wrong.

I mean a throttle cable snapping is a NIGHTMARE imagine a system that had just been changed to DbW with a bug then thats jammed open??

When I think of it that way... Im happy to wait wink

But when it is ready it will be pretty seamless and I cant wait.

...plus if you did it, Dom's warranty would probably be invalidated...
