Before this thread degenerates away from the subject any further (well done Dom and Don1 for 'rescuing' it a few posts earlier), please stop the key board warrior stuff ! It ain't big or clever and is really really really boring.
Cheers

We all know that so far, I still have the pleasure of owning the S6 with the highest bhp number ever to date.

And I tend to take it a lot further with the turbo build.

Oh, as for the willy waving....
OK, I'll put it back in my pants now LOOOOOOL

Haven't you been building a super fast engine since I had my T350 6-7 years ago??? wink can't imagine you've done many miles in it

I bought the car on 6 September 2006, and it broke down on 19 April 2007 after having covered 5000-ish miles in it myself.

About two years ago I drove the car for a few weeks, where the weak link proved to be the gearbox. Back to the drawing board.

Beginning of the year I got the call that the number I want (600hp) couldn't be achieved with the supercharger (got it up to 530-ish hp), so the call was made to go for a turbo install, for which I did set quite some high expectations...

Hi Pascal, what's the reason for being able to get more from turbos?

I know the chap doing yours is a serious turbo specialist, is it that his designs just get more or is there more to it? Was a larger SC not feasible etc?

I can confirm that the special fans for cooling yours seem to be working well on mine.

Turbos always gain more peak bhp, simply by their design.

iirc, the supercharger takes 100bhp to power, whereas turbos have an effect in a different place (must affect exhaust flow to some degree, which affects bhp, but to a much lesser extent it would appear).

Within the Rotrex range, I don't think there was anything bigger to fit to the car... that being said, I never insisted on the SC being a Rotrex...

And I'm happy to hear that the fans work well. One of the things I REALLY hammered on was that the cooling is up to it, as I don't want the car to catch fire due to bad cooling.

Anyway, I am kind of curious how it will drive with the turbo...

It will be wild, torque will have you spinning the wheels like nobodys business in all gears, once you get the wheels under control it will be a rocket in a straight line. Look forward to seeing the results

be interested to see more pics of the exhaust pipes, that must be a bit of a nightmare to route.
