Albeit on a noble but it's still the same weight, track tyres wise I've experienced (in order worst to best) R1R's, 888's, AO48's and Trofeo's.
Not considering cost of course, The Trofeo's give the best grip and feel, not far behind on grip are AO48's and they last longer, 888's are great but overheat too quickly and go off and my new R1R's fell apart on a dyno so won't be buying them again.

Noble was putting out 611bhp until last Sunday on the nurburgring, think I killed the main crank bearing but awaiting diagnosis.
Gutted as I'd just started the day with a 8:16 on low boost (500bhp), an 8:07 lap with several hold ups, was looking like i was on for a 7:50ish with a clear first half till I needed to dodge Subaru debris and got held up by a fire blade. The magic sub 8 minute lap still awaits.

Heh, yeah he mentioned that we spent a day getting his engine back in, listenng for noises, so i guess he wary at moment. But then again, I am one of very few people who say that the 19" Jade wheel gives a much better feeling over the spiders, so it could be horses for courses and let's see what happens!

I can not see how 19's would be better on the car - especially on track?

3 way dampers means the possibility of 3 times the opportunity to get it wrong at each end. If you don't know how 3 ways work, buy one way dampers. Graham has been badly advised, or given insufficient tuition on how to set them up. It's not the fault of the dampers.

The bump stops and ride heights still need fine tuning (so 5 times to get it wrong, then)
It is near perfect on the road, so that ticks box for 90% of folks;
In fact, can carry 15%+ more speed in compression at present without bottoming on B roads.
It's just the getting the track use sorted, and the bump stops take a pounding on the mountain at Cadwell.
Purely for the reason I wanted to get the best out of the trackday without playing with my shocks, it may have come over I had problems, and preffered the standard Billys, but No it was just i wanted all fun track time and not fiddling and on that day.

Ha - but then again, you are one of the few people I could ever possibly trust with my Sag. I can not see how 19's would be better on the car - especially on track?
As for the 19" thing - it's bizarre. It really is, but I'm not the only one who says this. It shouldn't work, it really shouldn't. It's goes against everything we know and understand. But it hits a real sweet spot, and it really works. I'm wondering if its the rigidity of the wheel?

My Typhon, I believe, runs on 19s as did the T400 race cars. The front wishbone set up on the Saggy, which am I right is different from all the T cars and is wider in track? Was taken from what I gleaned at the factory from the T400/Typhons.
Certainly the timings are correct as PW began the Sagaris after the first T400 racers had been developed and the original intention of the Sag was to replace the Tuscan Racer as well as being a road car?
TVR invested more specialist time in developing the T400 for the circuit than on any other TVR. This was a more serious project than any of their previous.
So, if the T400 front set up was designed to be optimum on 19s for racing and this same set up was migrated over to the Sag as that was also intended for racing and they knew the standard T car set up wasn't perfect, could it be that the Sag does behave well with the larger weight/mass of the larger wheels?
Mine does run higher profile tyres which make the whole wheel set up larger in radius than the Sag which is why the gearing feels that bit longer.
