Got the bad news from latest service that my airbox has a break - quick fix made in the interim.
Anyone have a "spare" hidden in their garage as after looking at the ACT option, it seems to be at quite a cost!

Not got a spare but these are somewhat cheaper than the carbon fibre ACT product.

Cheers for the link, still a bit "ouch". Remember the days of a couple of K+Ns or Pipercrosses on a pair of Weber 40s.....

Don1 was selling one, not sure if it sold or not. Might be worth a PM.

I have a provisional buyer - if it's declined I'll shout. Cheers for the thought though. smile

What type of adhesive was used to join the parts of the air box originally. Mine has a small split on the neck onto the throttle body and would like to seal it back up.

I know the ACT ones are expensive but I think worth it.

The original TVR ones are rubbish....nearly everyone I've seen are a bad fit and usually have a cracked piece on the back pot. The carbon fibre ones are a lot stronger and do not distort....don't melt as easily either smile .

I would also add that the ACT ones are worth the money. smile

I will ask Dom @ Power but mine is basically a whole piece that has come out.

Yep, mine has broke on port 6. ACT look great but timing is bad as just moved house and assured SWMBO that I wouldn't go mad this year (apart from Xmas in Oz and her birthday in Mexico :-) ) !!!

Aren't Brendan (Concept Performance) and Joolz (Kits & Classics) producing a new air box ??
Also, I think TrackVRoad were working on a replacement.....

To be honest I think they are a little way off having the complete package available, so it's just an expression of interest at the moment, talk to Brendan, he as always has a few interesting plans.
You're correct the car was registered in Dundee, but was owned by a chap in NI for the first 6 years, wouldn't mind tracking him down to fill in a few blanks.

I will be replacing my airbox with a new improved design in a month or so time.

If anyone therefore needs a spare, contact me nearer the time.
