I will be replacing my airbox with a new improved design in a month or so time.

If anyone therefore needs a spare, contact me nearer the time.
First dibs (if I can't get Don's)?

Funnily enough, I've just removed mine and apart from some slight rubbing on the top, its fine, no cracks or breaks! Perhaps I've just been lucky.
Anyway, I was going to bung it on EBay, but dont mind flogging it to someone here if they wish.
What was the reccommended going rate for the complete box?

Edited to add:

Just re-read the title of the thread, sorry guys, mines off a Tuscan I assume its different isent it?

I think they are all roughly the same. Going rate is around £150-£200ish dependant on condition.

Right, mods, I hope this is OK - I'm just posting the pictures for everyone to see, rather than making a deal....

Pic one - dirt brushed off

Pic two - close up of the rubbing at the firewall end of the box

Pic three - after a minutes clean (I kid you not)

Any one who has one, feel free to email me at slim.home@ntlworld.com with pics and a suggested price.
Mate, Concept Performance & Kit and Car Classics are doing new ones which are less... shall we say... TVR standard "quality" and a bit better finished if those are of interest. If however, you are just after a cheap second hand one, then contact me in a month or so.

Not seen them on the web (even with a google seaerch) so any more info would be helpful but don't mind if I end up with a good 2nd hand one.

No, no website etc. yet to my knowledge

Once I get mine installed and running, I'm happy to share pics, experiences etc.

I've been looking at this product on and off for over two years, so know a reasonable
amount about it.

Brendan showed one a working model and pointed out the improvements he and Julian had worked
on, so it looks to be a lot better than the standard one (and better quality).

Of course, I can't compare it to other offerings, only comment on what I know.

Developed by Julian (Joolz), Brendan and a few other people who very much know their
areas of expertise and tested (or so I believe) with racing cars.

Main points of interest (for me)...
  • Two versions - one for BHP and one for increased torque. The one I'm getting is the one for torque.
  • Both have dual air intakes (top and bottom)
  • CF box with custom lacquer colouring (copper cascade for me)
  • Proper hooks instead of straps
Offered by Joolz or Brendan. Comes from Joolz as part of his SP6 tuning package (see CliveF's work with Joolz for more info).

As I said, I can post more info/experiences/pics once I have it done and tested it out.

Concept Performance/Kit and Classics are working on quite a few little interesting projects at the moment of which the airbox is just one.

If you want the details - speak with Brendan.

Some potential projects I'm keeping to myself at the moment as I've still trying to develop them conceptually when I get a chance, so having to work with a few people. Some of them maybe available through CP once they have been developed and I think they might be of interest to other people.

Ones that would be available right now are - the automatic bonnet vents and multi-functional LED lights. Results of work done on my car and Don's last year with a few little additions since then to incorporate later ideas and/or corrections.

Opps, yes, I do have some pics of their offerings, but only what is "productionized" - bonnets and LEDs.

I can post them if people are interested and say what the details are.

Not many, a few. Definitely will be best with a retune.

Keep considering it seems like a good option but been told that only about 10hp gain. Does look good through but 1k, not sure its the best investment.

Just at moment we build our prototype which will be ready 2-3 weeks later. Over the filter-
elements will come one pipe, so that air will comes cold from down. The filter area is 30%
bigger as the orgininal of TVR. The weight is under 1 kg more as the original of TVR.

So am I right in thinking that sits tight against the throttle bodies with no joiner tubes?

Sorry but what you mean with "joiner tubes" in our case exactly ?
