I am pleased that you are happy with your engine rebuild, I understand what you mean about missing the crackles and pops, it would be nice to have a switch for an alternative map so you can dial them back in on request. It would be a good idea to get your exhaust modded to the same state as mine it did make a big difference. Look out for my T 350 at Le Mans as the new owner is taking it there. I did see your T 350 at Power Crazy, I must admit it is a lovely clean well presented example.

Like the cars with the Syvecs ECU have, you mean? Normal map until entering to the tunnel, then "pops & bangs" map in the tunnel:

I must admit that is taking pops and bangs to the extreme - more like a D-day reenactment! Awesome for occasional tunnels.
Syvecs does look very good but it is comes at a high cost - when I last looked it was just over £1k for Omex where Syvecs is something over £3k I think whilst not offering any huge benefits. Do like the switchable map though - must ask Omex if they can do that.

LOL yes. I agree - it is rather too much. Syvecs supports up to 8 different maps, so I have a couple of spares right now. At some stage I'd like to have a much less extreme 'pops & bangs' map added that just gives some nice crackles and pops rather than the full on artillery of that one.

Looks about right for a 3.7 to me. It's never going to be as good as a 4+Besides, Rolling Road plots are only good for comparisons like-for-like on the same day. They're not consistent enough to give absolute values.

Not wishing to appear a numpty glow worm but could you expand on your comment. These numbers always seem to turn into a bun fight and I'm genuinely interested to understand.
A standard 3.6 makes in truth I believe, 330ish bhp at the fly so an improvement to 388 would seem a significant improvement - 20% approximately for the same capacity. In terms of torque, my old 3.6 'took off' significantly at about 4500 rpm right through to the red line. This 3.7 seems to up the ante at roughly the same rpm and the torque curve is flat thereafter, which I always understood to be a good thing?

Must be me ... I don't know how much the upgrade costs... But I just prefer the torque coming in across the rev range and being flatter and I don't rev an engine to 7000 ... I'll stick with my 4.5 .
you can get 2x of those 3.7 with omex for the price of your 4.5 as for the figures seem to be quite good when taking a look at my holy
grail 4.3 upgrade standard with just decat fly figures.
if i would have the choice again would def. go the 3.7 route and squeeze
out as much as possible. of course 4.3 more torque more bhp but different
feel of car and engine. if i want to have laid back driving i ll take the chimaera out so for my cup of tea the 3.7 would be the way to go....

I reckon that the Holy Grail would be everything Racing Green have to offer - FFF2 head, Simplex Timing Chain, Syvecs, decat, and Variable Valve Timing (when it becomes available) - and a 4.3L block. grail 4.3 upgrade standard with just decat fly figures.
