What do you guys rev your cars at ??? and in what gears ???
I may hit 6k when changing in 1st and 2nd .. but in any other gear I'd be flying . smile
I have been so careful not to go over 5000 revs that I have been concentrating so hard that I have not even noticed what gears I am in or what speed

Had the 1000 mile service and there was a problem with it cutting out as well and it was the OBD connector I think that's what its called corroded and Dom sorted that for me as well,

Been out for a couple of drives and what an engine so smooth and so much more quite then the old TVR engine and you don't need to go up and down the gears to get her going and it is very very quick and a pleasure to drive with bags of torque, I can,t recommend the engine and service enough I have had from Dom yes

I still can,t floor it past 5000 revs until another 1500 miles then she gets a re-map which is essential for the 4.5 to optimize the engine, but to be honest it feels great as it is, I don,t know what it will be like after the re-map
Strange ... I had a problem with mine cutting out, before I had it mapped. Horrible feeling when you are in the outside lane doing 50mph and it dies.... Trying to get into the inside through traffic with no power frown .
This has happened to me too, with my new 4.3! I was told that the reason for the cutting out was the throttle bodies slighty out of balance.

Started the car yesterday (now 300 miles since the upgrade), reversing it out of the garage, it cut out again. Couldn't start it again for a while, seems I flooded the engine. On the 7th attempt, I used a little more throttle and it burst back into life, with two large puffs of black smoke from the rear!
