The engine has not yet done a complete dyno run. It is still in the UK.

It has now been run, and some re-jetting has been done to the Webers. I full pull is in the offing. It should ship in the next week or so. I will keep you all advised. I am hoping to post a video of the dyno run on Youtube for all to see.
A video would be good .. the sounds on sidedraught carbs should be epic.
Not sure why they didn't do the full dyno work all in one go though .. getting engines on and off engine dynos is a bit of a pain, you wouldn't want to take it off and on again unless you had a reason ..

Any update Black Six, interested in what numbers you get and how easy or hard the engine is to set up in Carb's?

Doubt it. The prevailing winds that powers these sailing vessels have been rather high in latitude of late, making the passage west a long slog. I don't know any other way of shipping goods out to the New World...

There's a guy popped up on the facebook cerbera page having a 4.8 built by rnd, the thread makes for interesting reading. It'll apparently be running an emerald ecu, wonder what's happened to the omexs ?

cant speak for completed engines. just for parts shipped delivered and service provided..... and there had been no issues at all..... if you habe a lack of trust order and collect by yourself..

Are these the parts your going to take your 4.3 to 450bhp with, that you mentioned previously?

Joolz, that's me...it all boils down to cost really, I've been told the Emerald works with an adapter, rather than having mess about with the wiring harness with OMEX

It does indeed work with an adaptor smile I have probably fitted and mapped more emeralds to ajp8s than anyone including emerald themselves smile

some parts from dave will go in but wont say its top notch nor say its crap before i have not seen or driven it and the car is not at devon for the work. several companies are involved. if everythings goes as planed it should be around that figure or slightly above. my experience with dave so far is superb and if the quality of the parts are as good as his support i am a happy customer.

if i would be in the boat for an upgrade again i would push out as max as possible from a 3.7 instead decreasing rpm by stroke to 4.3 or 4.5. 4.3 engine is nice no question but its way not as revy as a 3.6. would love to see a 8k rpm redline in mine but wont be possible....

Could you tell us what RND parts you are using, and what other companies parts you are using. Always curious of innovation biggrin
