Any news?
It is my understanding the engine will ship in the next few days. I have been out of the office for some time, so we agreed to hold of on the shipment until I was back in country. Will keep you all advised.

It all seemed assembled on a bench with the new machined 'Jaguar' spark plug cover to be fitted (I believe yours has the gold painted head?) I think there is also a video of the dyno test, still to be uploaded..

Correct - Gold head and Black block. It would be nice to see the video. Were the Webers fitted?

Once again I admire your patience, mine would have ran out a long time since I expect.

Love to see the engine in place before I die, I'll add it to my bucket list smile

Tony, I understand your feelings. Frankly, I would be much more agitated about the delayed delivery EXCEPT for the fact that I still do not have the rolling chassis (you may read that to mean a completed tub, if you know how E-types are built) to put the engine in. (Long story there, just a huge backlog on this side of the Atlantic as well). In any event, I am quite certain that the engine is shipping, and very soon. As soon as I receive it I will post photos and also attempt to post the RR video on youtube for all to see. (I am afraid that Chris is in many ways like me - not exactly what you would call techno savvy when it comes to internet issues. He has the video, but is unable to post it. Fortunately I have a very savvy wife who can do this for me (plus a couple of geeky friends for backup just in case)

And yes, this project is on my bucket list, too - ever since I was about 17 years old. (And I am now 67 - so that makes my wait time something on the order of 50 years.) And just in case you are wondering, the initial idea (when I was 17) was NOT to use a Speed Six. As you all well know that engine did not exist then. At that time the idea was to use a small block Chevy V8 - but that was back in my tasteless, tacky and irreverent youth. I now fully appreciate the fact that the transplant MUST be with an English Straight Six. Anything else would be blasphemy, and I am perilously close to that, even with the S6. Cheers all.

What was your decision for not using the original jaguar engine?

1> Weight
2> Head design and flame propagation issues
3> Stroke length
4> In short - power to weight ratio

Does it matter in something of that era or are you completely reworking the suspension set up.

The objective is to create something in the same genre as some of the Eagle offerings, (e.g. the Eagle Speedster)but closer to the original machine)

As far as suspension, the real issues there are the tire patch, compound, wheel width and suspension settings.

I am not going racing - just cruising (with an attitude).

Gazzab, I can assure you my fingers are crossed as well. Still waiting for the shipment. Will keep you all advised.
(I suspect the delays at this point are because of a number of tiny details that Chris is still finishing up. smile )
