After all the fraught times with a certain engine rebuilder on here it's once again good to say that yet another rebuild by Jason at Str8six has performed perfectly on the dyno and given great power. I think we all need some good news so how about a Sagaris with a 4.3 making 420hp on a dyno dynamics. That's great power in anyone's book.
A reason to smile :

some more parameters would be more than welcome like exhaust config decat airbox or any other mods etc... of course we are talking fly figures here.......

The owner is having a good time in England at the moment, so only in short words:
Str8Six 4.3 Engine
ACT Exhaust
ACT Airbox with trumpets
Nothing more...only polished parts in the emgine compartement :-)

Yea the good engine builders like str8six and Power should be acknowledged on here and hopefully the bad one will either up there game or move on.
Impressive figures for the 4.3 congratulations to all involved.

Very nice Jools/Oli.

Does anyone know what causes the slight dip in torque between 3k and 4k rpm? On the old peugeots I am sure something similar was caused by inlet tract length or design. Could this be developed out on the speed 6?

I believe that's the cams coming on? Joolz, is that right? I know with my engine it's more pronounced...

Yeah, I notice that on all SP6 torque curves... it looks like it's gonna produce a nice 'road hump' style torque curve, but then dips and climbs rapidly...

I would really like that 300lbs/ft to come in at 3000rpm rather than 4000rpm, so if it can be engineered out and made a smooth climbing curve, I'd be well happy !

I do a similar thing already but it's a case of robbing peter to pay paul on cam timing and induction lengths.

The BHP & LBS/FT graphs cross at 5250 rpm, and are the same y-axis scale, so I conclude it's correct.
