The Rally for Heroes Tuscan is now sat up North with Dom having been taken in for some emergency work.
Full marks to him as usual, car burning excessive oil, sounding a bit clunky and according to Dom, driving like a complete pig. Clearly my engine fault analysis needs some revision because I was informed this morning that it was running on 5 cylinders! By all accounts it has six!? biggrin

Anyway, the rally launch is in just under 6 seeks time and fingers crossed, Dom will have me back on the road in 3! I know we all hark on about how much we rate these people, but seriously folks Dom met us at 9pm yesterday, then proceeded to sit and have a chat, showed us the workshops and the various upgrade options, no hard sell, just an informative session. We left an hour and a half later with a nice warm feeling that everything will be honky dory befor the months out.

So as of today, a huge thumbs up for Power!

Good choice.I made a bad one but now mine is being sorted by Dom.The engine is already rebuilt & the car goes up today for it to be put back in.

I cannot tell you how much piece of mind is worth & you get that from Power.

Good luck & best wishes for the rally. My utmost Respect goes out to all involved.

What spec have you gone for Benn?

You could always do the same as me and take an EVO 8 on the Rally and leave the TVR at home lol

I hope you get it back on time because it has to go on the Rally as it is the RfH Tuscan!

Just a quick update on this.
Turned up at Doms place at 2045 last night, not only was Dom more than happy to see us, he then proceeded to show us around all of his workshop and setup for the next 1&1/2 hrs. We eventually left at 2230!
Now I'm sorry folks because I know everyone bangs on about Power and Str8six, but theres a reason. Where else would someone put themselves out as much as these guys do. I make the same assumption for Jason at Str8six based on how many other things I hear from people that use him.

But as far as Dom is concerned, what an absolute gem of a guy, his work comes across with a passion and the result is there to see for everyone.
So that's a definite +1 from me in giving anyone a recommendation for TVR Power should anyone be teetering on going for the rebuild.

Best start getting some mileage on this engine now!

Excellent news Benn!

I have to admit, it was because of people like Dom and Power that convinced me to buy another TVR, as I know there are still places/people out there who really deliver the goods, and allow us to keep grinning.
