My dipstick only has one mark...

As per the title, the dipstick on my '99 Cerb has just one ring on it, and that isn't labelled. Is this the max mark and the bottom of the stick is min?

....OK - Assume it is a Spd 6 engine?

My Tuscan dipstick ('04 model) has 2 holes representing MIN and MAX.
Might be worth measuring length of the stick and posting - also share if the oil tank is the standard TVR jobby?? At a guess, I'd say that you're right in your assumption...can you check with previous owner/speak with last TVR specialist who serviced it?

A perfectly reasonable question to ask IMO.
I'm afraid I'm at a loss with it as a T350 [S6] I used to own definitely had two marks on it, but sure someone will come along soon to help.

Just been to look at mine, the end at the bottom is flat and has two holes and marked max/min if you want I could measure it , cheers Steve

Thanks guys, I will have to take a photo of it at the weekend and share with you. Even my owners manual talks about two marks, but the oil level comes up to the one ring it does have, maybe 2" off the end. It might not be original but who knows?! The tank matches every other photo I've seen under the bonnet of a sp6 cerb.

I get good pressure so not concerned, just a bit flummoxed!

Certainly looks more like that one, though without the word "max" and the cap is different.
