My mate is looking for a Tuscan and he has found one that has had a tvr power rebuild back in 2007. It has a fairly large invoice for the rebuild at a cost off £6500. We have had a look at the last 12 k service sheet and the tappet clearance sheet. Can there much be taken from the condition off the engine looking at the tappet clearance. Is there much difference from a standard 2007 rebuild and a modern standard rebuild.

Hi Simon,

Why don't you ring Dom Trickett, Mr TVR Power himself? 024 7636 6177 or email them? dom@powersperformance.co.uk

He's very approachable and I would even expect, if you had an engine number, he would tell what standard it was built to?

By then he had very much sorted the Speed Six rebuild program and today's product may have a few subtle tweaks, but will probably have the same solid innards?

HTHs?

Also make sure the half time bearing was replaced at the time with Doms uprated one.
