My Tuscan 2 central windscreen washer pipe has split in half and is sticking about 10mm up from the rubber grommet in the scuttle panel
I understand this is quite common due to the heat generated by the manifold - initially I superglued it back together and shrouded it with heat shrink tubing - unfortunately that split immediately!!
I have now purchased the replacement washer jet modified version (the single jet block that clips onto the wiper arms to replace the original bendy pipe) from Race direct and new tubing
Has anyone replaced the tubing under the scuttle panel and if so does the scuttle panel need to be removed or can you route it and have access with your hands in situ - if so does the scuttle come off easily and can someone explain how please?

Mack...
To remove scuttle...I've assumed main bonnet up or off??
Remove wiper arms (6mm allen button screw in spindle). Undo 27mm nut from spindle each side. Unscrew 2 off s/s self tappers just by ball catches. Best to remove one of the main bonnet ball catch - female end from wing (10mm lock nut, then unscrew catch from riv-nut fitting).

Gently, lift scuttle panel off both spindles and ease out of bottom windscreen rubber trim...and lift clear of remaining ball catch.

Washer tube is tie wrapped to wiper mechanism 'frame' along top of engine.

TVR design...if car is stopped in heavy traffic - low airflow through engine compartment - heat from exhaust and cats rises to melt washer tubing....and blister main bonnet paintwork...no under-bonnet heat shielding..Tut!!!
