Brief update. After many delays Camcoat completed parts last week and Dom received on Thursday 4th May. Thumbs up to them as without me having to ask I received a free upgrade to what effectively was CAM4 Spec where I got a 3:1 ratio (3 external and 1 internal coat) so I'm expecting the look to stay immaculate. A pic I can share of 1 manifold and decat is here and my excitement grows. I'll be telling Dom I need to collect car on the 23rd (just as I return from hols) so I should make Thrills in The Hills
Hi Matthew yes I am very excited indeed however after contact with Power yesterday the delay on the manifolds really has thrown a spanner in the works. Due to that and Jason annual leave the total scope won't be ready for the 23rd so Im now pressing as to a confirmed completion date... I'll be in Italy early June so it seems like I may not have a summer with the car (who does in England anyway lol)
It will work out for the best I keep telling myself.

To be fair it's an intensely busy time at Powers this time of year, I was always fretting about when my changes will be done but I've come to the conclusion it's much better to let them do it without so much pressure, yes it'd very frustrating when your looking forward to it but my experience with Mbe now is,,, I'd have waited another month it's that good, 20 months on those delays are long forgotten, ( Dyno needing repair ) and I'm just glad they did such a good job on the map.It will work out for the best I keep telling myself.
I reckon your better off pushing Dom to do the best job, not the fastest.
It will be awesome that's for sure.
Totally agree with you! This is the most calm I've ever been on waiting for something so epic but effectively it will be like a new car so Im patient.
On holiday end of the week anyway so I can chill plus there is the added benefit of having extra time to prepare the readies that must be handed over to Dom. Im just annoyed that its putting everyone back as Dave the trimmer is still waiting to do a few bits for me.

Having seen Dom's FB post of yours, my 4.3 and the blue topped 4.0 Tuscan engines all ready to go back in. I thought we'd all be collecting on the same day!!!
Was nice to see my Dark blue Tamora up & running in Powers FB video. Hopefully collecting her Tuesday after a 12 week wait.
Been quite relaxed to be honest but it's going to feel like the day I bought her all over again.
Just need to get 1000 miles on her before Goodwood lol
Good luck with yours

Yours looks great Gaz, its that new car feel I'm really looking forward too. 1000mile run in hope you've got trips planned? In all I have to get 2k in before all hell really breaks loose. After reading mbe threads I'm really looking forward to feeling the new behaviour of throttle response and sequential injection. All updates will be coming...also 2k miles of run in should get me nicely used to the Saxo leccy pump before I press on and become accustomed to Rockingham and the Pod
Enjoy your lovely upgrade and we'll have to get together soon.

Latest update and a very big thanks to Dom at Power today. I've just returned to uk and was told my supplied heat shielding didn't fit (as per described or the trust in which I had bought it on). Rather than Dom chop it up and have complain he asked me in to view and see just what the situation was.
Dom was correct and it wasn't a straight forward fit so I got my scalpel out and got to trimming. Still undecided on wether to shield above f1 panel or on top of it when it goes back in? Another visit may be needed.
Dom took lots of time showing me the components that have gone into the build and I'm well and truly chuffed with what will be coming home soon enough.
Massive shout out to Powers and this masterpiece.

Saw your engine when Dom showed me my old crank, looked excellent!!!
Just over halfway towards my 1000 miles but a broken jaw has put it on hold for a week or so.
Can't say I notice much difference but chose the 4.3 more for its reliability than the extra power. Pretty sure I will once I can put my foot down and shake some of these tts off my tail who probably wonder why I bought such a car only to drive it like a granny lol
Deciding whether to go for Decats when it goes back

Cheers Gazza, you'll deffo notice the difference after the 1000milesa and tappets adjusted. Once you have full revs to play with it's a whole different game. At the moment to you notice you tend to stay in a higher gear compared to before? I'm hoping the huge torque boost has this effect for me.
Sorry to hear about you jaw, was it from extra large smiles from the new engine?
In update, Dom let me know heat shielding was able to be nicely patched and I'm very happy with results.
Getting really excited now

Going to try and book the car in for a couple of weeks time as I've got a few trips planned and the journey up there will easily pass the 1000 miles.
Definitely using the higher gears more, mainly because the lower ones run out of fun so quickly before you hit the temporary rev limit.
Just want it ready for Goodwood!
Jaw was my choice to have done. Never grow properly so had it broken pulled forward, plated and screwed. Waiting for bone to regrow between the gaps. Liquid food for 6 weeks but loving the time off work lol
Would of liked to spend a bit of money on things like heatsheilds, Decats & manifold coating but engine was a big enough hit.

Today was bitter sweet. Dom emailed me with the subject Rad Doomed (you can imagine the squeaky bum time it brought on)! This was one of a few minor niggles which were encountered when investigating the mounting of my electric PAS pump.
The long and short of that was me saying ok I'll have a new one, but TVR had specced a taller than 'usual' one for mine so a bespoke Ally one is on order. the plus side of having it out is the mounting of the larger PAS pump is even better as it will be central near the rad (with no adverse effects) and fixings and hoses run seamlessly and well hidden. While there I thought its prob a good shout to get a new air con rad too as again thats 17yrs old
Now all bespoke harnesses have been made and wheel sensors and the like machined we are only a week or so off. Im more and more feeling like I'll be getting a new car... or was that I should have just got a new car

I'm about a month further down the line with a new 4.3 in my Tamora.
1000 miles done, oil change complete and running beautifully. Advice from Dom is to continue the run in process by keeping it sensible for about another 1k miles, but the new rev limit allows you to taste a bit of what is in store...and its gooooood.

Progress stumbled as engine nicely in the car. My supplied £20 saxo pump just happens to be fried #ffs so the guys couldn't roadtest managed to get straight on it and a replacement £60 with warranty will be with them on Tuesday and air boxes to go in. I'm expecting a next Sunday pick up then the various driving characteristics & experiences will be added.
I really can't praise Dom and the Power team enough. Mean across every component and level of advise it's been completely awe and confidence inspiring.

So real progress beeng made and we are only a day or so away from road test. Engine bay now got my dipped box and cover in
Which I love the look of. Just an MOT to go even managed to get a new battery put in due to my original after 6months of unpluggedness not wanting to hold charge.
We are nearly there.
