Dont get me wrong i woud love a 350 Sag or a Tusc but the problems and costs just seem a joke
ZzzzZZZZZ
I have had a few TVRs and yes they are expensive to run but I also have (like you) a relatively new MErc and they cost a fortune to service cos the hrly rate and the behaviour of merc dealers is outrageous. A good indie TVR guy will help keep the running costs reasonable. So far in the last yr my Merc E class has cost more to run that my TVR in terms of servicing and repairs.
So not sure that your views are very objective or constructive.

Because living your life is more important than servicing costs? *
* Justifying his impending inspection 1 service which will no doubt be £800 ish.
Yep, agree with that, I don't think there's any difference between the mindset of the Noble and TVR drivers, both cars bought for the thrill and from the heart. I don't want 'in-between' to be safe, all or nothing!

In 1995 i owned a 92 Wedge 430 SE it left me stranded twice in Europe , and always needed something doing to it , i loved driving it but in the end the constant feeling of impending doom or when i was going to be left stranded at the side of the strasse made me get rid of it
Cost of servicing that were not so bad ,, my ML 55 did not cost much to maintain about 200 quid for a minor service and as i say i was amazed at how reasonable my XKR was to service.
But i do have the right to state my opinion , even if you do not like it

You had a few problems 11 years ago with a wedge........
Try and get over it...life's too short.
I have mate but the new ones appear to be worse than the old RV8 models so to you

I'm not sure you have and you're obviously not one to have you're opinion challenged. Best stick with your 2 Mercs "Mate"....you should be safe with them.
Now then, did I ever tell you about the problems I had with my model T...........?
Fords - you can keep them, nothing but bother.
A minor service on a merc is an oil change only (so hardly good value)! The next service will be a big one. £700 if they find nothing extra, and they will find extras.
You are welcome to give your opinion it is just a bit boring when you dont even own a TVR - a bit troll like thats all. My motivation is a general interest in TVRs and an interest in the SP6 as that is the only engine you can get now (albeit I still have a V8). Not sure I understand your motivation.

My Tuscan is due for its 12k service, Ive been quoted £1300 from the dealer I bought it from - his tyring to have me pants down! where else can I go in the west sussex area?
Well, we're 90 miles away from Silverstone Performance, but I took my Tam there for its 12K service and MOT, and I shall be taking it there for the next services and other work too -they went the extra mile for me, so I can't see a prob in going the extra mile (driving it there!) for them, the price was VERY competetive, the guys know exactly what they're doing, and, instead of skimping on some aspects, they actually went beyond what they needed to do; and this was the first time ever since owning TVRs that I felt very happy paying for it (all other times I've felt that I may as well have just threw my 1K out of the window!)
