Hey Pascal. A couple of other people for you to talk to about S/C'd Sp6 engines. Good to compare notes.

back from RG where they did a great work for me and my deadline. No FFF for me, I had no choice about it as my registration was in the balance. I hope it will come soon for you guys.

Been talking already with Shaun and Graham.... Got some very helpful info from both of them. (Graham, thanks for the one from last week once again btw!!! )

So all in all, I won't be the first S/C'ed Speed Six, but certainly the first S/C'ed FFF engine...

And Lee, the irons.... you know, the big L...

I hope the response is a positive one! From an impartial viewpoint the developments that were on show looked exceptionally well engineering, and there would appear to be sound logic behind them:
  • the FFF head: what many haven't highlighted is that it is fully CNC machined not only to equalise cylinder volumes but also port the inlets and outlets. lick

smile
Nice you spotted the extra machining, but I don't think many people spotted it at the open day or in your quote cos the implications of a FFF fully balanced, ported and flowed head on a TVR are.......

Oh, we all know about counting chickens before they've hatched (yep - I will pay up on that beer John wink ) but the new batch of heads are out and tested and ....... perfect!

Mine should be in assembly as I type and will be ready early next week. Huzzah! bounce

I'll be collecting it on Friday. My wife is a little worried; we are due to fly out to Corchevel on Sunday for a weeks skiing. I think that she feels that I might drive off in the Tamora on Friday and just keep going wavey. Very, very tempting. I could drive to Courchevel...driving

Sebastien, what have you opted for then, if you haven't got the FFF?

LOL... I even spotted the small imperfections in the prototype heads' ports... which will be solved by further machining on the production heads wink

Andy O'leary and Mandy Oneale have those, and are really happy with them. I hope that you are as pleased my friend.

This lump looks like a lovely bit of engineering and I look forward to reading more about the engine as a few of you start to run it over a some distances. It would be really nice to finally see a really solid evolution of the Speed 6 than finally nails all of the issues and delivers on the promise we all know is there in a reliable and power consistent platform. Be nice to see it form the basis of other cars too perhaps if they get it right.

I watch with interest!

Eventually, but I can't afford it at the moment. I'll have to wait until I have the funds, or my existing ECU dies.
