My guess, and having met Graham, would be the extra power. RG don't make any power claims for the FFF, only reliability (unless you go supercharged which must be pricey). The 4.3 however is a brute of an engine. By the look of the power curve it doesn't rev like the 4.0 but it's power and especially torque are a lot higher. It's producing well over 400bhp on Dom's dyno!

High torque is what I wanted.Hopefully Chatsworth will see the project complete!
I will report on my choices and reasoning once its mapped, etc.

thought so!
Always thought the Saggy chassis could easily handle a bit more grunt. The 4.3 should transform the car into a total beast. Are you going back to the higher geared diff? I imagine that would work better with the 4.3.
Glad to see you're still enjoying the Saggy.
As you know I defected over the tuscan camp a few years ago but I still get sentimental about the Saggy. I wonder where he ended up? I never found out.
cheers

Pitts- I have quafie atb & 1:3.73 diff with standard box
Never had an issue with it, I think the 3.91 & cr box do work for some though
Warranty- have bought parts so this is down to me!

All you speed six owners who have/are giving your engines some breathing space should take your cars along to Spa. Just got back from Spa with Book A Track and was the only TVR there on Sunday and a proper speed six is more than a match for the GT3/2 RS and the Italians on the straights (I am working on getting more grip in the corners but at the moment Johny foreigner has the edge). I will probably book the BAT two day event on the 27th July. Or even better if Andy Race doing a spa/ring tour this year I will book that. Its no good having bits of paper (that lie) about what your power is that has been produced on a rolling road, thats for the pub. You really need to experience it for yourself at the pilgrimage track. A well built speed six is a very very quick out of the blocks engine with the 3.9 diff and a cr box and been put on a diet to get it under 1000kg. Edited to say if you are going for the bigger engine with torque concider these they are a slightly harder compound and a stiffer side wall IMO. ( if they are good enough for the gt3RS they are certainly good enough for me.
