Bought a E-Prance G1W but I cannot download any videos via the supplied USB cable. Seems to be recognised but appears to be no recording. Anybody else had any luck doing this?
Never tried that method, I take the card out and read straight from that.

I got the GPS mount with the 0803 eprance thinggy. I can view the video files on my MacBook by putting the micro sd card into an adaptor and watching them, but how do I view the GPS data? It it possible to overlay it onto a map and view speeds etc?
Thus was mentioned above.

I'm quite liking the look of the LK 7700, it would seem to answer my needs (I have no needs, this is purely an impulse purchase!) and its under £100. (I wont be needing 2 channels so the 7900 might be wasted on me.
I don't suppose anyone has any images of it in their car, as opposed to just a pretty marketing picture?

Thanks
Matt
Ask, and ye shall receive. You can see the CPL filter on the front of the second pic. Nice threaded mount. You can fit any filter.
The pics are all of the 7700 except the second that is the 7900.
I have a 7300 on the front and 7700 on the back of one car and a 7900 on the front of the daily drive.

Screenshots of the config software. Playback software is cool and easy to use too but you can use any media player. The supplied software gives map data simultaneously.

Bit of a heads up, Halfords have the Mio Mivue 358 (HD, g sensor, motion detector dash cam) on sale reduced from £150 to £75 so a pretty good buy. Seems well reviewed on techmoan.

Hope it's a good bit of kit, just bought one driving

You can see which files are locked (on Windows, not sure about Mac) by setting explorer to show the Attributes column. They will each show the R (read only) attribute. Also if you use RegistratorViewer, essential for any dash cam but especially GPS enabled models, which displays all the 3-minute files as one single movie for the whole journey (it does not actually change the individual files behind the scenes); it shows the read-only/locked/incident files as yellow segments in the timeline at the bottom of the screen.
just one question

where do i turn n attributes. if i right click on folder i have attributes and i can tick hidden or archive but its made no difference. cant see locked files anywhere.

just brought it in to check night driving. quality is very good. very happy with it.

in windows 7, click in to the folder containing your videos
Change the view to "Detailed" view
right-click any of the column headings (Date Modified for example)
click on More
You can then put a tick in "Attributes" and they'll show alongside every file. Look for the files with attribute "R".

Windows 8 is probably something similar. There may be other ways as well.

I've been wanting one. But I want a box that's stored separately and hard wired in along with the cameras.

I've managed to find a 4 channel sd car dvr. But trying to find some decent cameras that work with it, and no idea if the quality of the DVR as it's some Chinese thing.

My dashcam recently recorded an accident. Traffic light controlled crossroads. Campervan turning left. Oncoming biker turning right into the same road. Biker thought he had right of way because of green and failed to give way. Biker hit the side of campervan. Biker injured in road.

End result: Biker mouthing off at elderly campervan driver and his wife who were both completely shaken up and tearful. Gobste really didn't help the situation and shouted at another witness who disagreed with him. I showed the footage to the PC attending who agreed that the Biker was a tosspot and any more mouthyness would result in a driving without due care and attention charge.

Seems good, very happy with the results - don't look great on youtube but on the screen at home I can easily read reg' plates, even coming the other way.

Jag' has a 'moment' a few seconds after this section started..

I've bought six of the 0803 mini's and have hard wired them into some of our vans.
I can review the footage when copied over to the PC and its really good quality, I cannot however use either Registrator Viewer or dash cam Viewer to look at the GPS type data.
Should these work with the above and what may I be doing wrong?
Thanks

I purchased a cheap and cheerful G1W dash cam last Christmas for the other half. An unfortunate spell of non-fault accidents under her belt made me want to get one for her to prevent out of hand claims in future.

Here's some footage just from the last 2 days. Yes 2 days, forget 7 months worth of idiotic driving, we just don't have the hard drive space to keep it all.

One way street, go to about 50 seconds in:

Straight away a risky Cyclist, a minute later VW not giving way
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEMfqXSyxQ8

Can't be bothered submitting this to the authorities, especially the one way street incident, because they only go after the speeders... seriously though there is a lot of fking stupid people out there, so stay safe.

Yes.

I work next to the Riders building - in the multi-story brick built office.

On a side note, the amount of cars that block the yellow box junction outside my work is ridiculous, makes me wonder why they even painted it there.

That side of Bristol is horrible to drive around.

But the lidl one records at 16gb/hr in 1080p. Even vga a 32gb card only lasts 6hrs. Not heard of compression? ?
