Folks,
My dashcqm has developed a fault. Basically a bit of fault finding reveals that the battery is knackered hence it won't deactivate itself if I restart the car., etc.
It's a 3.7v flat battery, wondering about likely chances of success if I was to solder on a mobile phone battery... Have found a potential replacement on eBay but it's rather large I think,

I wouldn't try anything but a very close match - if it's the G1W they seem to be LiPo and an incorrect match could be a bit dangerous! My dashcqm has developed a fault. Basically a bit of fault finding reveals that the battery is knackered hence it won't deactivate itself if I restart the car., etc.

The G1W is a 303040/033040 type, these are on AliExpress pretty cheaply:

My Mobius has turned up, size of the thing is great and it looks really well made.
I am struggling to flip the image 180 degrees though - I am using mSetup, have upgraded to the latest firmware - I select "flip 180" and then "Set parameters", which then tells me it has updated everything, but the vid is still the right way up (the wrong way up if the camera is mounted in a car (with the heatsinks downwards). I have changed other settings and updated them so I'm not sure what the problem is...
Any suggestions?
ETA: Managed to do it by dumping the config file, using a text editor, and reloading it. Weird that mSetup wouldn't do it - anybody else have the issue?

I've had no issues with my mobius, is it running the latest firmware?

The battery on my old cam went (due to using it in sub zero conditions) so I bought a lipo designed for an rc plane and soldered that in. Was a 1s 15c 3.7mah 800mah battery iirc, similar to this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Turnigy-nano-tec-750mAH-...It's a 3.7v flat battery, wondering about likely chances of success if I was to solder on a mobile phone battery... Thanks, cheap enough and looks like it does the trick... Will order one. Must learn how to solder too. Seems a shame to chuck an otherwise fully functioning camera for the lack of a battery.

Update from our insurers. They're backing us. Claim has been filed against the Fiat driver with the video as supporting evidence.
By no means a done deal but pleasing to see that our insurers are willing to take the stance that my wife was not to blame.
Lets see what the other side have to say about it.

Jesus Christ, that's bonkers. You seriously need to bring that to the local Police's attention, could have been a fatal accident. This chap in the BMW is so important he is allowed to reverse back down a dual carriageway in lane 2.

Also explained there were 2 cars I know following me and a chap in my passenger seat, though she then said we all needed to go down to our local station to report it (we all live in different counties).....
Got to love it.
Caught this on my dashcam as I came round a corner.
Watch the car in the distance coming towards me.
I can't see that it was ever tied on

Just the one the first three minutes from the last time I started it today. Anybody else had this?

This was on the internal memory that recorded the last time i took out the memory card and forgot to put it back for a day.

It's been reported, though as usual my experience of the police is they haven't a clue what to do with video evidence as the 101 operator seemed insistent that it also required 2 or more indipendent witnesses. At which point I gave them the registrations of the Audi that nearly sidled into me and the cars in front that will have passed it.

I reported this incident... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hp1eB5ECK0k) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6fxiH5GkAc) to them and got an email back saying they have sent the driver a warning and a link to the video.

To be fair, the hedges really obscure the roundabout. It's not until you're slightly emerged onto the roundabout at 4 seconds that the lad was seen. The kid was aware enough to check the road as he crossed and noticed you and retreated, you saw him and slowed, so good observation all round and made the best out of a poor design.Anyway.
