I'd decided after uploading the footage that I should report the incident to the police, which I did. They're coming round this afternoon to view the footage.
Seriously? I take it you don't actually have a life and have never broken any laws, motoring or otherwise, correct?

Just watched the video and he was well over the line when the lights were still on yellow so hardly a "blatant red light jump". In fact I'd have done the same without any question.

I hope the police do you for wasting valuable police time.

He actually goes through two red lights.

So what?

You seem to be quite the serial offender yourself so what gives you the right to go grassing other people up?

I had 9 points at one stage in my driving life, and then I 'got caught' twice again. Absolutely st myself at first, found Pepipoo.com, then challenged both and received no points and no fine. It was a while ago and now I have a clean license and have done for a few years now.

Whilst I agree that this is a total waste of police time, are you even watching the same video? The jag is about 10 feet behind the line when the light is red. The OP even put an image in his original post to help you.

As I said this is turning into a red light camera theread rather than abest dashcam thread frown
Do you think we should start a new thread about each incident of poor driving?
Going pack that vid
Do the lights ahead have their own stop line across the road or are they just repeater lights for those closest to frame?

That's probably the pertinent point, the first one is slightly knobbish but to do two and the second one so blatantly is just taking the mick.

I probably still wouldn't have bothered myself but don't blame you for passing it on.

Regardless of which car it is there's still nothing remotely interesting or dangerous in the video that isn't seen 100s of times a day. Were any puppies or small children killed? Did any driver crash, have a near miss or come close? No, no and no. Nothing to see here, move along etc. And as highlighted in my previous post, he's a long way off being whiter than white himself.

shoutSTOP

Polite reminder that this thread is about pros/cons of dash cameras, and NOT the posting up of captured clips; irrespective of whether you agree or disagree.

Any subsequent comments on that video will be removed without notice.

Back on topic please.

New topic for posting clips of poor driving:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

so we can keep this on-topic about techs and specs. smile

I'm interested one on for front and rear. Not worried about recording whilst driving. I just want it for when it's parked up. Anyone got any good suggestions?

Also been considering getting stand alone dvr in the car and then matching some cameras to it. Would rather have them slightly out the way and not obvious.

There customer care is very poor, I got sent wrong camera, then it did not work.
No updates on my order, still waiting on my order after a few months.

I have sent many email's just left hanging waiting on a reply.

I did warn about them many months ago but I was shot down in flames over it. Customer service is non-existent if you have a problem and from experience the cheaper end of the dashcam market suffer more than their fair share. I bought my Mobius from the maker in Shenzhen (eletoponline on ebay) and had to send it back to China. OK it took 2 weeks to get back and clear customs but as soon as it was received it was checked, an email apology was forthcoming along with a refund for the return postage and a brand new replacement sent out which included a spare USB cig socket charger as a gift. I had it in 3 days. You won't get that service from Joovuu.

In their defence, I've had no issues with JooVuu's support regarding my K1S.

Are you communicating via their online system or are you sending emails to their email inbox? I used their online tool and both queries I made were answered within 24 hours.

The support ticket site I used was https://www.joovuu.com/contact/

Can anyone comment on how to 'smooth' out the recording on the 0805? It's as if it can't keep up with the trip, as when crawling in traffic, it's fine?

Are you using an SD card slower than class 10?

Possibly, I'll have to check

Could an SD card effect quality, without sounding stupid?
