So after watching this thread for a looooong time, finally found a camera that appears to do what I want it to, as well as appearing fairly reliable - Thinkware F770 2Ch. Getting it fitted professionally. I would have a bash myself, but only had my car 3 days and it's only 6 months old so don't want to snap any trim clips *just yet*

So in the market for a new one now for the Aston. What is the current leader(s)? Tempted by an Aguri Fusion 100 to combine my speed camera detector with my dash cam rather than running one of each.
Camera works well - very happy with it. Feels sturdy too.
Camera detector not bad. Laser/radar detector got switched off after a few days as even on city mode (there are 3 settings for sensitivity) it still enjoyed petrol stations, shop doors, every traffic light etc, a bit too much so was often sat bleeping for no good reason. Usual camera database seems pretty good and the set up is nicely discreet and integrated into one unit so that is a bonus.
I'll probably keep hold of it for now but that is partly due to lack of other options for a decent camera detector. Ideally I would like a nice discreet DVR cam that tucked nicely away and looked stock, a decent camera GPS detector and a Valentine one somewhere at the top of the screen as that seems to actually give decent range on laser detection without hundreds of false alerts.

I still don't know why any other manufacturers haven't jumped on the K1S form-factor. Seperate cameras, hidden DVR, GPS speed cam alert ability.Camera detector not bad. Even though there have been a few bad reviews of it online, mine just keeps on going. It supports the PGPSW database with a bit of tweaking and in the daytime at least, the video quality is spot on. Night time is fairly poor, especially out of the rear camera but I can't see a need to change until someone brings out a higher quality K1S clone.

For me it was the absence of a glove box Even though there have been a few bad reviews of it online, mine just keeps on going. I am looking for rear cam now, reasonable video quality a must, but I need something small and light. As I use a DDPai M6+ for the front I could use the DDPai Mini (not the Mini2) as it will work via wireless, but they are quite big (and pricey). My other favourite A118/A119 is too big (and also £70 or so). Is there anything for under £50 that will just work and isn't too big? Doesn't need bells and whistles as I have that on the front one...

Do the V1's work well in the UK? Coming from NZ where 50% of cars use one I didn't think they did work in the UK? Camera detector not bad. Just ordered the DDPai from Amazon for £93 plus the hardwire kit for £10.99. Looking forward to installing it tomorrow.

Plug it in on the bench and connect to your phone and do all the updates before installing What about a Mobius, about as small as you can get and produces good quality footage. There is also a Mobius 2 out which has mixed reviews but Techmoan now seems to rate it following recent firmware updates.

I'm really after a DVR, the laser detection is a bonus for me. I also like the discreet look of the unit. With those things in mind, is it worth the extra ££ or not really?
