Cheap Garmin Maps

Hi. been looking for topo maps for Garmin Montana and stumbled upon very cheap ebay maps. I assume that these are not genuine Garmin maps but are they any good?

Rather than paying for a dodgy copy of something, have you considered some of the open source maps ? E.g http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/

I have been looking for new USA maps for my old Garmin 350. The current 2010 maps are held on an SD card but I really need something more up to date.

Wondering whether to buy new maps (I have lifetime updates for Europe) or a new sat nav which would need to cover the USA and Europe.
