Sat Nav Canbus saga

ROk. First of all being female, please keep you answers simple. Not cos I'm thick, I just don't understand electrics. I'm looking at buying an ERISIN ES8048v sat nav for my 2007 VW T5. It says the unit does not come with a canbus, but my T5 has one (as they were brought in 2005/6 to t5s). So the question, do I need a canbus adapter, and will this be the easiest method to connect it. I was hoping for just a plug and play fitting. The more I look into it the more scary it gets. Should I get an auto electrician to fit it? Thanks
