TomTom Live trafic useless?

My tomtom kept telling me the M62 was closed but the way it wanted to send me to avoid the closure added 60 miles so I ignored it
It's not that accurate though, when I got to the closure at 10:30pm lanes 2&3 were coned off but he only had one cone in lane 1
One thing I have learned with night closures is to ignore the diversion signs , they're all set up for artics, low bridge or 7.5t zone and they can send you miles out of the way when you're in a car
